The Kosovo Manufacturing Club today signed a memorandum of cooperation together with Kosovo Chamber of Commerce for promotion of export and attracting foreign investments aimed at increasing the competitiveness of Kosovar manufacturing businesses and local economy.

Executive Director of the Manufacturing Club, Mr.Astrit Panxha expressed his satisfaction with the start of this cooperation between these two institutions. “We, as the Manufacturing Club, see the Chamber as the highest economic institution that pushes forward the empowerment of production in our country. We will be allies and collaborators in presenting Kosovo as a place to invest. Along with the Chamber of Commerce, we will use our export promotion networks in the European Union, the United States and the Middle East.”

While the President of Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Barat Rukiqi stressed that this memorandum is the beginning of a joint cooperation to create better conditions for local companies. “Thus, with concrete commitments we will try to jointly promote investment and export promotion and create new jobs.”

During the signing ceremony of the Memorandum, both parties also supported yesterday’s decision of the Government of Kosovo to approve the decision of the Ministry of Trade and Industry to impose a tax of 10% to products imported from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
