The first edition of the VET Summit – Vocational Education and Training Summit, ended successfully!

The Kosovo Manufacturing Club together with the co-organizer of this summit, the BESA Foundation, would like to thank all the participants who were present during the two days of the VET Summit.

The VET Summit was held on June 29 and 30,  and it was the first Vocational Education and Training (VET) platform which brought together companies from the private sector, government institutions, international donors, business representatives from the region and the diaspora, to discuss VET as a promoter of economic development.

During the two days, important topics were discussed which emphasized the role of VET in the sustainable economic development of the country.

This year’s edition of the VET Summit was supported by USAID Kosovo Compete Activity, ESVET PRO Project – European Union Support for Vocational Qualifications and Professions in VET, Enhancing Youth Employment- EYE Project, ALLED 2 Project and Kosovo Challenge Fund.

The Chairman of the Manufacturing Club, Mr. Berat Mustafa, while addressing the participants in the opening ceremony of the Vocational Education and Training Summit in Kosovo – VET Summit 2021, said that the Manufacturing Club has for a while focused all its work and activities on identifying needs and finding solutions for training and development of employees in the manufacturing sector. Since we see it as one of the main challenges of manufacturing companies in their development and advancement.

Whereas Astrit Panxha, executive director of the Manufacturing Club said that the organization of this summit has come as an inevitable need of the manufacturing sector for the training of workers with skills and abilities necessary for the labor market. During his speech, he focused on the reason for holding the VET Summit, in the training and innovation park in Prizren, where he stressed that we see it as a center with great potential for future investments.
