Kosovo Manufacturing Club and SOS Children’s Villages Kosovo today inaugurated the “Made in Kosovo” workshop, which aims to create a space that enables socialization, awareness and the education of young people for career orientation.

The Manufacturing Club, in cooperation with the ERTEV Foundation, is committed to help children without parental care and children at-risk that are supported by the SOS Children’s Village programs through the Made in Kosovo workshop.

The “Made in Kosovo” workshop aims to achieve key objectives such as creating and building self-esteem for the children, as well as assuming responsibilities among young people; learning basic technical knowledge; fostering creativity, innovative thinking and problem solving, informing and preparing for future career orientation.

During the inauguration ceremony, the president of the Manufacturing Club Fejzulla Mustafa stated that “The club has initiated to include and support projects with SOS Village in addition to its daily activities and program. This workshop will provide vocational training for generations to come and this will be just the beginning of expanding into other youth projects.”

Astrit Panxha – the Executive Director of the Manufacturing Club thanked SOS Village for the provided space for the implementation of this project, but especially thanked the Club’s partner, the ERTEV Foundation, in particular Fahrettin Gülener, who together with KMC made this project possible. “We hope that these young people will be employed in our members’ factories in the future.”

Whereas, the national director of SOS Villages – Nezahat Salihu said that “We as SOS organizations take care of children and invest in vocational education of our children. With the help and support of the Club, this workshop will foster a work culture among our youngsters, and will be a space for learning and vocational training.”

The “Made in Kosovo” workshop contains programs which are alternative after-school activities for children and young people aged from 8 to 21 years that will include wood classes; metal classes; 3D programming and the Origami class. The workshop is located in SOS Children’s Villages in Velania – Prishtina.
