Today, members of Kosovo Manufacturing Club met with the Governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo, Mr. Fehmi Mehmeti, with whom they discussed the state of the country’s economy during the pandemic caused by COVID-19, as well as the situation after the pandemic.
During this meeting, the manufacturers requested a clear plan for recovery and support for the country’s economy, in order to increase liquidity and investment. Also, during the meeting, it was discussed that the crisis caused by the pandemic made it clear once again that the structure of the country’s economy should be reviewed, where the manufacturing sector should be a priority for sustainable economic growth.
The CBK Governor offered support to the manufacturers, expressing his readiness to help in order to help the recovery of the economy and overcoming the main challenges, which are the high trade deficit and the high unemployment rate.
