Today, Kosovo Manufacturing Club has signed a cooperation agreement with USAID EMPOWER – in partnership with SIDA to start the project “On the Job Training Program”, a program that aims to motivate, inspire and mobilize private sector companies to engage more actively in youth training and their vocational training. For this reason, KMC along with its partners is implementing this program which is structured to develop professional skills for young people and increase their employment opportunities.

Municipalities, where this program will start to be implemented are the municipalities of Gjilan, Vitia, Kaçanik and Hani i Elezit. Whereas, the first beneficiaries of this project will be 250 candidates from these municipalities, who will be employed at the KMC’s manufacturing partner companies, where they will benefit from a qualified and structured training program for labor market needs.

This program has come as an inevitable need, where most of the reports and studies show that a large number of young people remain inactive in the labor market and that they are facing many problems to provide a job, where the main challenge is their own educational and professional training.

The overall objective of this project is to promote social inclusion unemployed youth by providing their professional support and training in the labor market.

Over the next few weeks, Kosovo Manufacturing Club will announce when the applications for the admission of candidates will be opened in each of the municipalities that the program will be implemented.
