The Kosovo Manufacturing Club together with the Member of the Republic of Kosovo from the Committee for Economic Development today visited the Plus Center market. The purpose of the visit was to closely inform the citizens about the implementation of the Law on Consumer Protection, in particular a part of this law that foresees the placing of flags of the country of origin close to the products, which aimes at better informing the citizens about the origin of the products.

The owner of the Plus Center, Sylejman Neziri, thanked the MP of the Economic Development Committee for the visit and informed them about the problems that he has been facing so far. He also expressed satisfaction with the implementation of this law, especially the placing of flags near the products, saying that this measure should have been undertaken much earlier.

MP Berisha Shala thanked the owner for the welcome and the said that the initiative of putting the flags of origin close to the products will soon start to implement, although the article obliging sellers to set the flags would begin to be implemented by the end of December this year. She also urges citizens to consume local products and she assured them for their quality.

MPs continued their visit to Oxa Group, at the Tefik Çanga processing factory, where they were introduced to the process and the challenges of production. Naser Hoxha, owner of Oxa Group, showed the unfair competition and production challenges in Kosovo.

The MPs considered these problems and provided the support of the Committee for Economic Development in their review and ensured the continued support for the development of the manufacturing sector.
