Today, the Minister of the Ministry of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Besim Beqaj has visited Kosovo Manufacturing Club for a discussion on the possibility of cooperation between the Ministry and KMC in service of furthering the development of the manufacturing and private sector in Kosovo.

The executive director of KMC, Astrit Panxha on behalf of all members of the KMC, welcomed Minister Beqaj and made an overall presentation of the activities and projects in which the Club is engaged.  He highlighted KMC’s focus on human resources training activities and projects that enhance knowledge and competitiveness and market-finding capabilities that would enable export growth for local producers. All of these activities have in common the usage of innovative technology in the process of promoting Made in Kosova products and hence the economic advancement of the country.

Minister Beqaj expressed the readiness of the Ministry of Innovation and Entrepreneurship for the unsparing support for local producers. And as part of this support is the launch of the Start-up and SME Financing Program, from which local producers can benefit from. Minister Beqaj also introduced the idea of establishing a Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which according to him cannot be done without the support of private sector. He said that local producers are the employers and taxpayers and consequently are the major contributors to improving Kosovo’s trade balance. He emphasised the fact that the use of innovative technology for development of private sector is a decisive act and that the Ministry of Innovation and Entrepreneurship aims to give impetus to innovative development and a digitalized economy.

Astrit Shabani, one of the members of Kosovo Manufacturing Club, welcomed the visit of Minister Beqaj and his support to local producers, he as well called for the practical support of Kosovo institutions to the private sector in the country. He added that Minister Beqaj could count on the support of KMC for any activity that aims economic advancement of the country.

On the other hand, Shaqir Palushi, another member of KMC, expressed the need of the private sector, especially the need of manufactures for experts and human resources. According to him, professional trainings are essential in maintaining business practices.

The executive director of KMC, Mr.Panxha invited Minister Beqaj to join the visit of  local manufactures’ factories, which would provide the opportunity for close recognition with the private sector in Kosovo. The Minister accepted the invitation with satisfaction and added that the Ministry of Innovation and Entrepreneurship has its doors opened for Kosovo Manufacturing Club.
