Today, in the Presidency of the Republic of Albania, a joint meeting was held between the Kosovo Manufacturing Club, the Union of Albanian Producers, the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia and the President of the Republic of Albania – Mr. Ilir Meta.
The meeting was organized with the purpose to present the National Albanian Manufacturers Forum, a forum consisting of three business organizations mentioned above, whose aim is to promote the free movement of goods, services, capital and the promotion of nationwide Albanian products.
Also, at this meeting were discussed topics related to legislation and its application in trade relations between manufacturing enterprises nationwide. In addition, the meeting addressed the need to support all nationwide products in all national areas. Also, during meeting were discussed the challenges of regionalization of the economies of three countries and the challenges of integration into a unified market.
The Director of the Kosovo Manufacturing Club, Mr.Astrit Panxha, thanked the President for the welcome and expressed the pleasure that together with the producers from Albania and Macedonia are present at this meeting. He indicated that as a representative of the Kosovo Manufacturing Club, they are interested to increase the presence of Kosovo products in the Albanian market. “The presence of Albania’s products and services is much higher in Kosovo market than Kosovo’s products in that of Albania. Therefore, we seek to facilitate the circulation of goods and to facilitate the procedures for trade exchanges “- stated Mr.Panxha.
He also requested the abolition of all tariff and non-tariff barriers, for the entire manufacturing sector.
The President of the Republic of Albania welcomed all the representatives and expressed his readiness for cooperation. “It’s high time we all together have a common vision for our economic future. Now, more than ever we need strong messages of hope and development, time to make promises has passed, now only action is needed “. He expressed the idea that by taking examples and practices from other countries, a free economic zone can be created, which would encompass the entire Albanian nationwide space.
“I will support and reduce all tariff and non-tariff barriers that hinder integration into a unified and common market. We have endless opportunities of cooperation that require an agenda and a concrete action plan. ”
President Meta expressed support for all the nationwide producers and he said that without producers there is no prospect and required from them to contribute to increasing export capacities in European markets. In the end, the President of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Meta, congratulated and supported the initiative of the establishment of the Forum of National Albanian as a necessity of economic development, especially within the framework of accession agenda of Western Balkans in EU.
