Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti met today with some of the board members of the Manufacturing Club to discuss the general state of the country’s economy, especially about the manufacturing sector after the situation created by the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Hoti informed the manufacturers about the steps taken by the government to support the manufacturing sector, but also the recovery of the country’s economy. On this occasion, Prime Minister Hoti expressed the Government’s readiness to further strengthen the dialogue between the business community and the institutions that would facilitate the environment of manufacturing businesses in Kosovo.

The manufacturers also stressed the need for mutual cooperation in overcoming this crisis, but also asked for greater support by drafting special programs for the manufacturing sector, until the stabilization of the economic situation. They also called for overcoming the political stalemate and voting on agreements in parliament to fund the recovery package.

At the same time, the manufacturers thanked the Prime Minister for the meeting and expressed their readiness for the cooperation with the Government of Kosovo to deepen further the relations  between the two parties.
