Even after the decision of the Government of Kosovo to impose a 100% tax on Serbian products, Kosovo Manufacturing Club expresses its reaction to all those institutions that do not respect the decisions of the country’s executive.

For the Kosovo Manufacturing Club, it is unacceptable that the Central Procurement Agency, which has made purchases on behalf of other independent agencies, has opened a tender to buy products originating in Serbia.

The Kosovo Manufacturing Club has consistently appealed to all institutions of the Republic of Kosovo to support local products in all public purchases. Institutions of the Republic of Kosovo should give priority to domestic products during public procurement, and request that the Law on Public Procurement be amended because also under the SAA it is allowed to give preference to domestic products. This practice is implemented in most countries of the region and in the EU countries.
