The Kosovo Manufacturing Club requests from the Government of the country, but also from the Macedonian authorities to abolish the mandatory PCR testing along the Kosovo-Macedonia border crossing.

Such a test is only hindering the movement and trade exchange of manufacturers, thus affecting the deterioration of their situation, a situation that is extremely aggravated during the pandemic. This test is just an additional barrier for manufacturers and causes huge losses to them, allowing circulation only with negative PCR test no older than 72 hours, thus significantly increasing operating costs.

The Manufacturing Club understands the difficult situation created to prevent the spread of the pandemic, but demands that other safeguards measures taken should be applicable. Thus, we request that in coordination of the two authorities, trade cooperation be enabled between the two countries, a cooperation that would respect all other protection measures for the prevention of COVID19.
