Manufacturing Club together with STIKK- The Kosovo Association of Information and Communication Technology, KIMERK – Metal Industry and Renewable Energy Cluster of Kosovo , KAMA – Kosovo Apparel Marketing Association, Woodworkers Association Kosovo and G7 – Kosovo Women’s Chamber of Commerce, demand amendment of the law on public procurement.

This demand comes when many local manufacturers are facing many difficulties due to the pandemic, therefore it is required to change the procurement law, so that in the tendering procedures for products and services, so that to local companies should be given priority.

This request to give priority to local manufacturing or service companies is required to be made through an amendment to the current public procurement law or through a separate government decision.

Such a request comes when it is known that a significant part of the state budget is spent through public procurement, and if priority were given to local companies it would have a positive impact on job preservation, especially after the problems caused by the COVID pandemic.
