The Kosovo Manufacturing Club (KMC), today after a meeting held with representatives of producers from Albania and Macedonia, announced at a conference their positions following recent declarations on trade relations between Albania and Kosovo.

In this conference, business representatives have stated that they have no goals that endanger co-operation or hinder the unification of the common market, rather they are willing to continue cooperation in the future.

Astrit Shabani from Manufacturing Club has said that like art, the economy as well should be free and open market. “We ask from our governments to create an open market and remove all obstacles or barriers to the common economy,” said Shabani. He also required that media reporting to be prudent and to avoid misinformation of citizens.

While Bardhyl Baltëza said that the Union of Albanian Producers has long proposed to unify the Albanian economy. “We are the promoters in front of our governments to push this process forward. We are a nation that we need to build a complementary economy and help each other, “he said.

The representatives of manufacturers also claimed that they are in favor of a common Balkan market, but with a condition, that initially should conduct a study on how and when to open this market between Kosovo and Albania in order to benefit everyone. Representatives of manufactures showed that they are willing to help unify the market in all the ways that is required.
